Our client, an alternative asset finance company, is looking for a Loan Servicing Specialist to join their team.
The Loan Servicing Specialist will perform all functions of operating a loan servicing core system.
Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret loan agreements and other legal documents. Extract, upload and track all covenants/client deliverables from Credit Agreement
• Coordinate document flow between attorneys, borrower, and internal teams
• Verify executed closing packages to make sure all docs are present, complete, and executed
• Board new loans to platform and manage servicing of existing loans, including handling incoming calls/emails regarding servicing inquiries
• Request and review customer due diligence documentation and conduct searches (credit reports, OFAC reviews, LexisNexis reports, UCC). Manage and maintain document checklist
• Monitor loans for liens, UCC filings, insurances, etc.
• Ensure all documentation is saved in the system and boarded to the platform
• Manage syndicate assignments, review agreements, and board new participants
• Reconcile bank statements with loan activities and review activities and reports as needed
• Send position confirmations to auditors and third parties
• Manage Deposit Account Controlled Agreements (DACAs) and reconcile collection reports with bank statements
• Add prospects to Pipeline
• Support specialized processes as assigned by the supervisor
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years experience in loan processing, accounting, and servicing strongly desired
• Computer proficiency at a mid to expert level in Microsoft Office programs; Excel required for related analysis of customer financials
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight time constraints
• Knowledge of legal documentation is required
