Job Title: Systems Engineer (Team Supervisor)

Location: Hybrid in Wilsonville, OR

Schedule: Onsite 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday) remote on Fridays

Salary: $160,000 - $200,000

Systems Engineer (Team Supervisor):

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (Team Supervisor) to join our innovative and rapidly growing team. As a Systems Engineer (Team Supervisor), you will lead a team of engineers while also being deeply involved in technical work. This role combines leadership and hands-on responsibilities, offering you the opportunity to manage and mentor a growing team while working with cutting-edge technologies in the security and critical infrastructure space.


Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Supervision:

  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of six engineers, balancing hands-on work with team supervision (60-70% hands-on).
  • Foster team autonomy, prioritize tasks, and manage project timelines to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Resolve team dynamics and manage any challenges, including negativity, to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Promote professional growth and skill development among team members through guidance and mentoring.

Project Management:

  • Oversee and manage multiple system engineering projects, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
  • Act as the liaison between the engineering team, leadership, and other departments, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges that arise during the course of projects.

Client Support and Technical Solutions:

  • Occasionally travel to collaborate with the business development team in locations such as Atlanta and Memphis.
  • Present technical solutions to potential clients, building trust and confidence in the company’s expertise.
  • Serve as a technical expert during key client discussions to secure partnerships and present innovative solutions.

System Design Expertise:

  • Design and evaluate advanced system solutions, including visible and thermal cameras, ground-based radar, drone detection systems, and cybersecurity.
  • Work with cutting-edge hardware and software technologies to develop tailored solutions for critical infrastructure security.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience, preferably with small to mid-sized engineering teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in system design, network architecture, and integration.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and Video Management Systems (VMS) like Genetec.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced technologies such as drone detection systems and thermal cameras.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration, manage team dynamics, and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment with a focus on innovation.
