Senior Sensory Perception Researcher:
Our client is seeking a Senior Sensory Perception Researcher to support cutting-edge research initiatives focused on understanding human sensory perception in relation to consumer products. This role will involve working directly with human participants to gather insights, design experiments, and analyze data that drive innovation in product development. The ideal candidate has a strong research background and a passion for uncovering the sensory cues that influence user experience.
This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon.
Senior Sensory Perception Researcher Responsibilities:
- Design and execute research studies involving human participants to assess sensory perception.
- Develop surveys and data collection methods to evaluate consumer response to product attributes such as fit, feel, and comfort.
- Conduct data analysis and interpret findings to inform product development and innovation strategies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team to enhance sensory research methodologies and experimental designs.
- Communicate research insights effectively to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Explore and implement new tools or techniques to improve sensory perception research practices.
Senior Sensory Perception Researcher Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Sensory Science, Food Science, Cosmetic Science, or a related scientific field; or a Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant research experience.
- Strong foundation in sensory perception, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
- Hands-on experience conducting sensory research involving human participants.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a problem-solving mindset and a drive for innovation.
- Prior experience with consumer product research is highly desirable.
