Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team, a leading food manufacturing company in the San Gabriel Valley. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GAAP and inventory accounting, with a proven track record in cost accounting, as well as Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) management. This role will be crucial in supporting the finance department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, cost analysis, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

GAAP and Financial Reporting: Ensure all financial statements and reports comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), maintaining accuracy in reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

Inventory Accounting: Oversee inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting, ensuring proper valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, and adherence to inventory control policies.

Cost Accounting: Perform detailed cost analysis for manufacturing processes, including labor, overhead, and raw materials. Analyze production costs to identify areas for improvement and help optimize cost-efficiency.

Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) Management: Manage the A/P and A/R processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Work closely with vendors and customers to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong relationships.

Month-End and Year-End Close: Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
