LHH is working with a reputable law firm in seeking a seasoned Bankruptcy Attorney with extensive experience in commercial bankruptcy, specifically on the creditor side, for a contract assignment. This role involves providing critical legal support across a broad range of bankruptcy services, including relief-from-stay motions and bankruptcy petition preparation. The position is largely remote, with occasional visits to our Downtown Los Angeles office as needed.
Key Responsibilities :Represent creditors in commercial bankruptcy proceedings, handling all aspects of creditor-focused bankruptcy cases
Draft, file, and manage relief-from-stay motions and other creditor actions
Prepare and review bankruptcy petitions, objections, proofs of claim, and other related filings
Conduct legal research and develop case strategies to protect creditor interests
Provide expert advice on the implications of bankruptcy proceedings and assist with any needed documentation for creditor claims
Coordinate with clients and team members to gather information, offer updates, and discuss case strategies
Qualifications :Minimum of 5 years of commercial bankruptcy experience, focusing on creditor representation
Reside and Barred in the state of California.
Strong proficiency in filing relief-from-stay motions, bankruptcy petitions, and handling a broad range of creditor actions
Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills
Detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to case management
Ability to work remotely with occasional travel to the Los Angeles office as needed
Pay Details:
$80.00 to $100.00 per hour
