Job Summary RBC is seeking to hire a QE Analyst. As a QE Analyst, you will be responsible for effectively executing and tracking functional tests for WMTS Canada. Your objective is to ensure the QE processes are well defined, executed, and continually monitored. You will work with different project teams to ensure the functional/regression test suite is up to date and remains relevant. You will be accountable for driving quality, championing defect prevention/early defect detection, and maximizing test coverage.
Job Description WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Automate assigned areas/features using existing Framework.
Design effective test cases using a model-based approach and test design techniques.
Provide daily status to QE Lead/Manager on projects under test deliverables.
Create Test Suite, Traceability matrix, etc., and support test suite walkthroughs with different teams.
Support the implementation of the QE Program and overall QE process and standards through continuous test preparation and execution.
Leverage existing automation frameworks, tools, and artifacts to ensure the testing process is continuous, comprehensive, and fully autonomous.
Work with QE Lead/Manager on integration testing and timely identification of risks to prepare for contingency.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
Typically requires 2-4 years of QE related experience.
Good knowledge of Testing Life Cycle, SDLC, and Defect Management processes for application support and development.
Good knowledge of QE Processes, Methodologies, and Test Design techniques with hands-on experience on ALM, JIRA, and Confluence.
Strong problem-solving, design, and analytical skills with creative solutions on testing approaches in critical timelines.
Good knowledge of test automation frameworks/tools (e.g., SoapUI, Selenium, Appium, UFT/Lean UFT/RestAssured/Robot Framework, TestNG).
Hands-on experience in executing manual/automated test cases and reporting to senior management for complex multi-application system integrations.
Nice-to-have:
QA related certification (e.g., ISTQB, Agile testing, Mobile Testing, etc.).
Experience in Model-based testing and tools such as ConformIQ, Hexawise, etc.
Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related (technical) degree/diploma or equivalent experience (e.g., Java, C, SQL DB querying).
Basic knowledge of industry practices focusing on Agile, DevOps, environments, and test integration.
