What you will do?
Design and maintain robust data models enabling efficient analysis and reporting on Databricks.
Expertly construct and execute complex SQL queries for data analysis and insight generation.
Utilize Python and PySpark to manipulate and analyse large datasets in a cloud environment.
Develop rich storytelling visuals and dashboards in Tableau, translating data into business narratives.
Communicate intricate analytics concepts to stakeholders in an intuitive and meaningful way.
Lead projects and collaborations with cross-functional teams, providing data-centric strategies for public cloud security.
Synthesise and present detailed findings to executive-level management through effective story-driven reporting.
Mentor junior team members and help foster a culture of data literacy and excellence within the company.
Stay abreast of advancements in data analytics, data modeling, and visualisation to innovate on our data practices.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have:
5+ years of experience in a data analyst, data scientist, or similar role, with an emphasis on SQL, data modeling, and narrative-driven data presentation.
Solid experience working with popular Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and notebook environments.
Advanced SQL abilities and experience querying complex datasets, preferably in a Databricks environment.
Extensive experience with Databricks solutions PySpark Spark SQL and cloud data platforms preferably Azure Cloud.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
Expertise in Tableau for crafting insightful and engaging data visualizations.
Exceptional storytelling skills, with a track record of translating complex data into compelling business insights.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field. A higher degree or certifications related to data analysis is a plus.
Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and lead teams.
A portfolio showcasing your analytical, modeling, and storytelling expertise (links or attachments required with application).
Nice to Have:
Experience working on an Agile team.
Familiarity with Cyber Security Concepts.
Certification in Tableau and/or relational databases.
