Certification Details Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS. Job Details Med/Tele RN position available. 13-week contract opportunity. Job Requirements Must have PCU experience & be able to read strips. Tele/cardiac RN wanted with PCU experience, Epic preferred, ok with first time travelers. RN's required to titrate drips: Yes. Common titratable &/or set rate drips include Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, (low dose Dopamine), No Levo. Experience with Tele/Monitor Techs: Tele portable monitors and monitors in the rooms, tech at the nurses station. RN required to read their own strips. Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: 7a-7p, 7p-7a - If rotating shift, 7-7 rotation will not occur more than weekly. Manager to make schedule, will consider blocked schedule based on unit needs. Weekend Requirements: Every other. Holiday Requirements: Every other. Unit Specific Information Number of Beds: 32. RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) RNs required to troubleshoot Bipap, trachs, airvo, etc. Additional Notes: More of a tele/cardiac unit. Additional Details Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow on the unit 1:3. Common diagnosis/Types of patients include adults and geriatrics, Cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, Covid Bipap, occasional general surgical with heart history, medical patients with cardiac history, pneumonia covid, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, sepsis. There is a Charge Nurse on each shift who occasionally takes a light load of 2-3 patients. Nurse aids/patient care techs on unit with goal ratio of 1:10. Floating Requirements: All areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load of PCU, MS for full patient assignment, some ER Holds/boarding. Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided: any color scrubs. How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 2- 12 hour shifts, Friday and Saturday of the first week of orientation and on own by that Sunday.
