Duties Duties include but are not limited to the following: Form a plan for patient care with a focus on maintenance of quality of life encompassing the pets’ and owners’ needs. Perform intermittent assessments, house visits, telemedicine appointments, and follow-up communications. Support ongoing research into geriatric medicine, and work to present and publish novel data. Other Responsibilities Active contribution to the knowledge base through collaboration with other clinical specialists and/or basic scientists or through independent research and board preparation is encouraged but not specifically required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience DVM or equivalent degree. Eligibility for veterinary licensure in North Carolina also required. Other Required Qualifications Self-motivated and able to perform prescribed treatments without supervision Excellent communication and client skills Ability to work in a collegial team setting with referring veterinarians and internal veterinarians Required License(s) or Certification(s) Eligibility for veterinary licensure in NC.
