Posting Information Posting Number: PG193720EP Internal Recruitment: No Working Title: Epidemiologic Study Manager Anticipated Hiring Range: $75,000 - $85,000 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm and weekends as needed. Job Location: Biological Sciences Department About the Department: The Department of Biological Sciences , within the College of Sciences at NC State University, is dedicated to research and teaching in a broad range of aspects of the biological sciences. The GenX Exposure Study is a high-profile, community-based cohort study examining environmental exposure to water contaminants in North Carolina. This project assesses the health impacts of chemical exposure on local populations. Primary Duties: Data Collection and Management: Develop and implement data collection standards and procedures (SOPs), oversee surveys and databases in Qualtrics and SQL, organize community sample collection events, manage biological specimen storage, and collaborate with study data manager. Regulatory Compliance: Serve as the primary contact for the Institutional Review Board, recruit and supervise undergraduate research assistants, and provide guidance for technical issues. Project Coordination and Support: Manage study equipment, document communication with participants, contribute to future planning, assist with budgeting, and contribute to grant proposals. Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience: MS or MPH in epidemiology or relevant subjects (degree must be completed) and 5-8 years of previous research experience. Other Required Qualifications: Experience with large-scale research, strong background in epidemiology/environmental health, proficiency in data management platforms, familiarity with human subjects research protocols, strong communication skills, and experience in community engagement. Preferred Qualifications: Spanish fluency. Required License: Valid NC Driver's License required.
