D. H. Griffin Infrastructure has an immediate opening for an Assistant Quality Manager. D.H. Griffin Infrastructure is the Heavy Civil Construction component of the D.H. Griffin Companies. DHGI has built on top of decades of success in the wrecking and demolition industries to become one of the premier Heavy Civil contractors in North Carolina. The Assistant Quality Manager will work closely with our Quality Manager to provide quality support to our construction projects throughout the Carolinas. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Assist with the development and implementation of a division-wide Quality Management System composed of a Quality Management Plan, Quality Training, and Inspections. Development duties will include writing technical procedures for civil construction, grading, inspection, and underground utility related tasks. Quality training will consist of creating training materials and teaching classes on civil construction and underground utility related activities. Monthly Quality Audits will be performed on all projects. Additional responsibilities may include: Performing site calibrations and other project support services. Reviewing project plans and specifications to advise project teams on the best course of action. Position may require up to 30% travel. Requirements: Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Must possess knowledge of site and utility construction principles, management, and procedures. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of standards related to underground utility construction including: AWWA C600, ASTM C1244, ASTM F1417, Uni-bell UNI-B-6-98, and NFPA 24. Knowledge of standards related to civil construction including: NCDOT Standards Specifications for Roads and Structures, NCDOT ESC Manual, City of Raleigh Utilities Handbook.
