About the Role:
The Logistics Coordinator will play a key role in managing freight brokerage and transportation services, including full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to locate trucking capacity, and a track record of building relationships with customers and transport partners. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and dispatch domestic and cross-border shipments for both FTL and LTL services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and capacity.
- Monitor industry trends to proactively address challenges and meet client needs.
- Provide accurate spot quotes to customers and respond promptly to quote requests.
- Track shipments from pickup to delivery, maintaining proactive communication with all parties.
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintain meticulous shipment records.
- Notify customers and management of any potential delays or issues.
- Assist with pricing for customer RFQs and bids.
- Meet and exceed customer service and delivery performance standards.
- Collaborate with management to resolve issues and improve operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in freight brokerage/logistics, including coordinating and dispatching FTL and LTL shipments.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian domestic and cross-border logistics, including routing, seasonal flows, and pricing.
- Experience with container drayage and air freight transport services (preferred).
- Solid understanding of logistics and shipping terminology.
- Proficiency in dispatch and transportation management software, as well as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
