Job Description: Clinical Informatics Manager
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of informaticists and support staff in delivering top-tier electronic health records (EHR) services. This includes meeting functional and clinical operational goals, driving software/product enhancements, overseeing training, and ensuring high standards of customer service.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to create and implement both short-term and long-term IT strategic plans, managing and advancing the Clinical Informatics initiatives for the organization.
- Oversee the Clinical Informatics team in providing informatics support across the hospital, serving as a key bridge between clinical staff and IT, and facilitating clinical IT systems that support clinical practice.
- Foster coordination among the hospital’s IT staff, complex technology environment, and contracted application support teams to achieve seamless functionality.
- Partner closely with clinical vendors, aiming to establish the organization as a model site for their clinical product suite.
- Build trust and a reputation for excellence in service delivery with physicians, nurses, executives, clinicians, and key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- For candidates with a nursing background, a current Colorado RN license or a multi-state compact license is required. RN preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:
- Proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Development, Internet, Project Management, Healthcare Informatics, and Database software, as well as clinical application support tools.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital clinical setting is preferred.
- Experience moving from Meditech to Epic preferred.
