Job Summary
Spherion is seeking an Electric Commercial Project Manager/Estimator to join a team in Decatur, AL. The ideal candidate is one who has an abundance of field experience as an electrician, a vast knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), and experience managing and leading teams. This role involves managing commercial electrical construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality completion. The position also requires estimating project costs and preparing competitive bids to secure contracts.
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of commercial electrical construction projects, including planning, execution, and project closure.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality control procedures.
Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bids for commercial projects.
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure successful delivery.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills
High School Diploma or GED.
5 to 10+ years of project management and estimation experience in an industrial or commercial electrical setting.
10+ years of experience working in the electrical trade.
Understanding of all phases of electrical construction, the National Electric Code, and safety standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong general computer skills.
Proven experience managing and leading teams.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
Additional certifications or training related to electrical project management or estimation.
Familiarity with advanced project management tools or methodologies.
Prior experience working on complex or large-scale commercial electrical projects.
