n - Position is primary backup for Payroll Administrator.
n - Assists with all payroll related assignments including payroll processing and timekeeping.
n - Supports a broad range of human resources activities including new hire orientation, associate file maintenance, projects and administrative duties as needed.

Job Duties:

Payroll Focus:
nn
n - Weekly submission of payroll on time (ADP)
n - Partner with departmental timekeepers to ensure accuracy of records
n - Adjust accruals profiles in HRIS (Workday) for promotions, transfers or shift changes
n - Daily updates in payroll system and corrections as needed
n - Prepare payroll related reports
n - Ensure compliance with relevant laws, and internal policies
n - Ensure new hires, shift changes etc. are entered correctly in timekeeping system

HR Focus:

n - Coordinate all new hire orientation activities including facilitating/ presenting new hire orientation
n - Manage I9 processing for new hires
n - Assist with onboarding activities for new hires
n - Maintain all associate files including assisting the Occupational Health Nurse with medical files
n - Run standardize monthly reports from HRIS system (Workday) for HR staff and prepare various monthly required reports for department
n - Assists in preparing for any training related courses including scheduling, materials and communications
n - Assists in any projects or tasks as requested by completing timely, accurately and in an organized fashion
n - Assists with on-site hiring fairs as needed
n - Manages office supplies for the department

Minimum Qualifications:
nn
n - High School Diploma or GED
n - Minimum of one year of either payroll processing, accounting/ bookkeeping, or Human Resources experience
n - Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload
n - Accurate, detailed-oriented and conscientious
n - Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality
n - Will drive required tasks through completion, i.e.: “no excuses” mindset
n - Solid analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail and the ability to learn, adapt quickly and build relationships
n - Advanced MS Excel skills and intermediate skills in other MS applications
n - Strong communication skills (written and oral)

Preferred Qualifications:

n - Associates Degree in Accounting, Business Management or Human Resources
n - Prior experience with ADP and Workday or similar
