About the Opportunity

Cause Leadership is assisting a Christian faith-based charitable organization in their search for an Office Administrator . Based in Orillia, the organization focuses on programs to transform the lives of poverty-stricken children, orphans and widows in the Caribbean.


The Office Administrator will be an energetic and enthusiastic team member with a heart to serve others and will be a welcoming face and voice for the team.


The charity's office is housed in a shared office space with a small business whose President also acts as the Board Chair and supporter of the charity. The Office Administrator is a liaison between internal and external stakeholders for both organizations and reports to the Board Chair.


Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Creation of marketing assets such as brochures and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Website design and management.
  • Coordinating Board meetings and managing resource documents required including agendas, financials and post-meeting task completion and follow-up.
  • Special events planning and coordination such as the annual golf tournament.
  • Provide finance support including banking, receiving cheques, providing information to bookkeepers.
  • Manage donations submitted through the charity's online portal.
  • Coordinate, plan and organize travel for administration and mission trips.
  • Manage social media accounts.
  • Create newsletters and donor updates.
  • Provide basic support and technical assistance to company and charity staff on devices and software programs.
  • Database administration and tech support.
  • Maintaining all electronic and paper files of the organization.


Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Post secondary education
  • Administrative experience
  • Marketing experience
  • Basic accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Special events planning an asset
  • Website design
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe
  • High energy level
  • Sound reasoning and judgement
  • Results oriented
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Valid driver's license
