The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for leading and supporting the FERC 760 department’s daily and ongoing tasks associated with FERC Order 760 compliance. This includes collaborating closely with the FERC 760 team (department, ITS partners and Markets SMEs) to manage requests from the FERC Division of Surveillance and Analytics (DAS) and compliance requirements associated it market updates and/or changes per the FERC Order.
Essential Functions:
- Learn the business – develop an understanding of the FERC 760 business functions and processes and communicate this understanding across the SME support teams
- Establish, monitor and maintain high client satisfaction levels - managing and triage all inquiries from FERC
- Document, track and resolve problems in client business systems
- Manage, document and update all process documentation as required
- Work closely department management in developing work plans, including scope, milestones, schedule, resources and deliverables
- Regularly develop quarterly status reports regarding progress on annual workplan
- Manage and oversee all compliance requirements and timelines
Characteristics & Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent experience
- 0-5 years of work experience
- Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Experience using verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
- Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
- Ability to visualize and solve complex problems
