Position: Assistant Plant Manager

Scope of Services
The selected individual will perform the following tasks:
a. Handover of Current Facilities Under Commissioning and Construction
- Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for construction, commissioning, and project management teams for facilities approaching substantial completion.
- Facilitate the handover of BESS and PV facilities to Operations & Maintenance (O&M).
- Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams to ensure all checklists, punch lists, and requirements for substantial completion are addressed and documented.
b. Formalize Handover for Existing Operating Facilities
- Revisit and formally execute the handover process for facilities that have been in commercial operation for up to one year but lack formal documentation or transfer of responsibilities.
- Collect and file all relevant as-built drawings, manuals, and other key project documents.
c. Support for Plant Manager and Operations Team
- Assist the plant manager in managing zero-defect warranties and new equipment warranties, ensuring all issues are documented and resolved within warranty periods.
- Oversee activities related to the construction and completion of O&M buildings, ensuring they meet operational needs and standards.
- Provide ongoing support for any commissioning-related issues that arise post-handover.
d. Stakeholder Communication and Coordination
- Organize and lead stakeholder handover meetings, ensuring that all relevant parties are informed and aligned on the status of facilities and pending activities.
- Serve as the liaison between construction/project management teams and operations/support teams.
- Facilitate the integration of pending project activities into the operational framework and processes.
e. Documentation and Process Management
- Ensure all documentation, including as-built drawings, commissioning checklists, and operational manuals, is collected, filed, and accessible to the O&M teams.
- Monitor and confirm that all transition activities are documented and completed in alignment with company policies and standards.
Reporting Structure
The individual will report directly to the local operations manager and work closely with construction, commissioning, and project management teams. They will also coordinate with support organizations, including asset management and O&M teams, to ensure a seamless transition.
Deliverables
- Fully executed handover documentation for all facilities under commissioning and for those in commercial operation lacking formal handovers.
- Completed and filed checklists, as-built drawings, and operational documentation for each facility.
- Organized and executed stakeholder handover meetings with documented action plans for any pending items.
- Status reports to the local operations manager summarizing progress, challenges, and next steps.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in BESS and PV facility commissioning, construction, or operations management.
- Strong project management and coordination skills, with a track record of facilitating complex handovers.
- Familiarity with warranty processes and O&M infrastructure requirements.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Duration of Services
The engagement is expected to last (insert duration, e.g., 3-6 months), with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.
