About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to join their established business as a one-person HR department supporting a small-sized workforce. Reporting directly to the C-suite, this hands-on role is ideal for a proactive HR leader and true generalist who thrives in both strategy and execution.
This position offers a competitive salary, bonus, and benefits and requires full-time onsite presence in Pompano Beach, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, and training & development.
- Strengthen and build upon the existing HR infrastructure to align with company goals and growth.
- Directly manage payroll processing and ensure accurate, timely execution.
- Transform the HR function to drive the company’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives across diverse markets.
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and processes that support the organization’s business goals and core values.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, improve workplace culture, and position the company as an employer of choice.
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, programs, and best practices while maintaining full compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Uphold company values and policies across the workforce.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with proven ability to own and operate the HR function in a similarly sized organization.
- Demonstrated experience supporting multi-state, multi-location workforces.
- Strong background in compensation, talent acquisition strategy, and employee retention.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Certifications:
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Hands-on executor who can deliver both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.
- Ability to engage with employees at all levels, from corporate leadership to field staff.
- Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure compliance.
