The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineers for a well respected consulting client in Collingwood and Thunder Bay. You will lead the preparation of designs, plans, and specifications, with a specialization in HVAC and plumbing solutions for commercial and institutional settings. This role involves a strong focus on preparing contract documents, detailed cost estimates, and delivering comprehensive design solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading engineering, technical, project management, and administrative direction on projects.

• Developing, verifying, and finalizing technical reports and deliverables.

• Leading project teams, managing resource allocation, employee training, and professional development initiatives.

• Overseeing and developing budgets, cost estimates, and managing project financial considerations.

• Conducting research, reviews, inspections, and technical investigations.

• Preparing proposals and actively engaging with clients, government organizations, the public, and suppliers.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

• A degree in Civil Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with the P.E.O.

• A minimum of 10+ years' experience in mechanical engineering design and contract administration.

• Proficiency in pertinent building codes and design software.

• Strong leadership and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage technical teams and client relationships.
