Summary:
The HR Generalist is responsible for providing direct support to HR management, departmental management and NIKSUN employees covering a broad range of HR functional areas including but not limited to talent acquisition & retention, onboarding operations, compliance matters, employee relations, training and development, and policy advisement.
Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with hiring managers to facilitate the review and approval for hiring requisitions.
- Manage postings in the Applicant Tracking System and 3rd party sites, source, evaluate, and submit high-quality candidates to hiring managers.
- Utilize professional networking sites, employee referrals, networking groups and other recruiting sources to attract and find qualified candidates.
- Guide hiring managers and candidates through the interview process to ensure a positive experience for all.
- Collaborate with Senior Management to develop and deliver competitive offers to candidates.
- Conduct post hire check-ins with new employees to ensure they’re transitioning well into their new roles.
- Facilitate all activities for new hire onboarding to include background checks, new hire paperwork, file creation, profile creation in ADP and orientation.
- Facilitate offboarding activities to include necessary notifications, exit interviews and coordination with HR team to process terminations.
- Partner with HR/Finance colleagues to support initiatives or resolve issues related to Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, and other areas.
- Facilitate and track immigration activities for those employees requiring sponsorship to work in the United States, in partnership with both internal/external legal counsel.
- Execution of HR people strategies, understand business objectives and deliver HR support to business partners to aid in achieving goals.
- Interprets and provides guidance to employees regarding policies.
- Investigates and resolves employee relations issues, escalating when appropriate.
- Provides managers and employees with tools to effectively resolve conflict.
- Works with managers to create annual performance goals for their teams and support them through the annual performance management review cycle.
- Partners with managers to identify specific skills gaps/deficiencies and collaborate with the HR team to develop and deliver training curriculum to employees to improve overall performance.
- Assist with preparation and filing of key annual benefits filings, i.e., PCORI, 5500, 1095 etc.
- Reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual talent performance metrics to ensure accuracy and presents results to departmental leadership.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of all legal requirements and employment laws related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Assists the HR, Corporate Compliance and Legal departments to ensure NIKSUN is up to date on all compliance related activities and trainings.
- Assists in the collection and delivery of data to prepare and support the company’s Affirmative Action Plan.
- Provide information as needed to support the filing of required compliance reports to government agencies.
- Assisting with facilities management and travel arrangements including travel visas.

Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field of study required.
- A Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience in a corporate or combined corporate/consulting setting is required with a focus on generalist or talent acquisition functions.
- Strong understanding of HR principles and employment laws, as well as recruitment best practices.
- Experience working with a Human Capital Management system, preferably ADP WFN.
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems – ADP Enterprise preferred.
- A history of demonstrating the ability to successfully negotiate and drive change around processes – must be able to understand and evaluate current processes and make recommendations for improvements.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong work experience with Microsoft Outlook and Office products.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to prioritize tasks based on demand.
