As we continue to grow, we are looking to hire a dedicated and motivated HR Generalist, who is fluent in both English and Spanish, to help foster a positive and productive workplace.

Position Overview:
The HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the human resources department, with a focus on talent acquisition, including both in-house and remote employees, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and general HR support. The ideal candidate will be a bi-lingual proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of HR practices and a commitment to maintaining a positive and compliant workplace within the unique context of an SSD law firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle for various roles within the firm, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offers for both in-house and remote employees.
- Coordinate new employee onboarding, ensuring new hires have a smooth transition into the firm and understand company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and proactively address workforce requirements.
- Training & Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate internal and/or external training programs for staff development.
- Help create and maintain a learning and development culture that aligns with firm goals, values and employee career growth.
- Performance Management:
- Support managers in performance review processes, goal setting, and ongoing employee development.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees regarding performance issues, professional growth, and corrective actions.
- Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Address employee concerns and work to resolve conflicts in a fair, timely, and confidential manner.
- Foster positive relationships with employees, creating a productive, supportive and inclusive work environment.
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
- Employee Engagement & Retention:
- Assist with initiatives designed to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Help plan and execute employee recognition programs.
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
- Compensation & Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
- Assist employees with benefits inquiries, enrollment, and claims.
- Monitor compensation trends to ensure competitive and equitable salary structures.
- Compliance & Policy Administration:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including ADA, FMLA, and EEO.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records and ensure documentation is in compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of company-wide HR policies and procedures.
- HR Systems & Reporting:
- Maintain and update HRIS (Human Resources Information System) for employee data tracking and reporting.
- Generate and analyze HR reports on key metrics (turnover, absenteeism, etc.) to help guide strategic decisions.
Qualifications :
- Must be bi-lingual (English-Spanish)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as an HR Generalist. Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Certifications: PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations, particularly as they pertain to employment law, employee benefits, and workplace safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
- Aptitude in problem-solving.
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
