We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in the manufacturing industry. This position will be based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing financial forecasting, reporting, and delivering strong financial analytics for the team.
Responsibilities
• Provide in-depth performance analytics on a monthly basis, focusing on key products, customers, channels, and regions.
• Develop and present monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) and cost analyses.
• Engage in performance reviews with management, contributing valuable insights and financial perspectives.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly cost reports and collaborate with commercial stakeholders to understand deviations from forecasts.
• Regularly prepare rolling forecasts and work closely with relevant commercial stakeholders.
• Assist in the annual business planning process, with a specific focus on financials and P&L.
• Track performance against targets in investment cases.
• Manage the overall commission process, including strategy development, document updating, and monthly payment disbursements based on published commission documents.
• Take charge of the ranking and reward process.
• Conduct volume forecasting for key product focus areas.
• Utilize auditing, budget processes, budgeting - forecasting, and Cognos skills to enhance financial operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial analyst role, ideally within the manufacturing industry
• Demonstrable skills in auditing, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail
• In-depth understanding of budget processes, including planning, development, and implementation
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting in a complex business environment
• Proficiency in Cognos, with the ability to extract and analyze financial data efficiently
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide recommendations
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance professionals
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
