We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Help Desk Technician with an energy sector based client of ours in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing IT support and troubleshooting issues within our clients physical office environment. This Help Desk Technician contract opportunity is offered on a 3-month contract-to-hire basis and will work on-site in Prince George.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver IT support for all office hardware equipment including printers, PCs, and boardroom equipment.
- Provide IT assistance for operating systems, productivity software, and various internal applications.
- Independently investigate and implement solutions to technical issues.
- Maintain and troubleshoot office software, including support for O365.
- Provide service on technical help tickets submitted via phone, email, or walk-ins.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hardware including PC, Laptop, and Desktop systems.
- Utilize ServiceNow to manage and resolve tickets.
- Install and configure operating systems, networked and local printers, and business applications.
- Address recurring technical issues and implement solutions to prevent ongoing problems.
- Administer user systems and resolve issues in a client-server environment.
