Our client, a prestigious global law firm, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Helpdesk Tier 1 Support professional to join their IT team on a fully onsite basis for a 6-month contract. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional environment, providing hands-on technical support to legal professionals and staff directly at the Calgary office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to 50–70 office users, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues to minimize downtime.
- Set up and configure laptops, desktops, and boardroom AV equipment to support seamless operations.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes, including account creation and deactivation using Active Directory.
- Support Office 365 applications, resolving user inquiries and technical challenges.
- Utilize the Freshservice ticketing system to document, track, and resolve service requests and incidents.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic network issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while collaborating with the broader IT team to maintain a reliable and secure IT environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Tier 1 Helpdesk or IT Support role, ideally within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365 applications.
- Experience with Freshservice or similar ticketing systems.
- Proficiency in setting up and maintaining IT hardware, including laptops, desktops, and AV equipment for boardrooms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing high-quality service in a professional setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting IT operations in a legal, financial, or other highly professional service industry.
- Familiarity with supporting users in a global organization or multi-office environment.
- Previous experience in contract or temporary IT support roles is an asset.
