Note: This position requires the successful candidate to reside in Edmonton AB, due to the necessity of working within the Edmonton office.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the development of .NET and C# web applications.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Handle implementation and integration of Web API 2.0 (Core 5.3.0) services.
• Oversee design and optimization of SQL Server databases.
• Spearhead the adoption of innovative technology and best practices in software development and architecture.
• Secure sensitive educational data per industry standards.
• Create a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making within the team.
• Manage the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and effective cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant.
• Demonstrable leadership and collaboration skills.
• In-depth understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
• 10 years of software development with significant emphasis on .NET Core and .NET Framework.
• Profound knowledge of cloud services and microservices architecture.
• Proficient with modern front-end frameworks including ReactJS, Angular.
• Familiar with database technologies, including SQL Server, MongoDB.
• Experience with SSO implementations using SAML/OpenId.
• Familiar with IIS and Nginx web server configurations.
• Strategic mindset to align and push technology initiatives to meet business goals.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of data science and analytics is an advantage.
• Experience implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of data security standards and regulatory compliance.
