About the Role

The Company is seeking a President and Chief Executive Officer to lead its mission of advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights through rigorous research, strategic communications, and impactful advocacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic vision and leadership, increasing the organization's recognition as a preeminent research and policy entity in the field, and overseeing the development and dissemination of high-quality research on sexual and reproductive health issues. This role requires a leader who can ensure that the Institute's research influences policy and practice at national and international levels, and who can effectively represent the organization to a range of audiences. The President and CEO will also be tasked with external affairs, strategic partnership building, and fundraising to ensure the Institute's financial sustainability.Candidates for this position should have a deep knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and rights issues, a passion for social, racial, and reproductive justice, and a proven track record in successful fundraising and resource development. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of senior leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit or research organization, and an advanced degree in a related field. Strong leadership, management, and financial acumen are essential, as is the ability to build and lead a high-performing team. The role demands exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative leadership style, and a commitment to building inclusive, equitable teams and cultures. Experience in change management, and a collaborative leadership style, particularly with international partners, is also highly valued.
