About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to play a pivotal role in aligning the engineering organization's activities with the company's strategic direction and values. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing technology and product roadmaps, ensuring the organization is at the forefront of technological development for both current and future needs. This includes the development of reliable technologies and systems within set time and cost targets, as well as maintaining awareness of industry trends to meet customer demands. The CTO will also be tasked with establishing and auditing scalable development platforms and processes, leading product development teams, and inspiring them to deliver outcomes that meet customer expectations.Applicants for the CTO position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in dynamic, entrepreneurial, and innovative environments is essential, as is a proven track record in a range of software and engineering development methodologies. Advanced knowledge of systems engineering and experience in fields such as aerospace, aviation, UAS, and robotics are preferred. The role also requires experience in developing image processing, machine learning systems, and artificial intelligence, as well as the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. The CTO will be expected to lead and scale product development teams, so strong leadership and mentoring skills are a must.
