About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for its National GENIUS Center. The successful candidate will be a highly responsible individual with a baccalaureate degree in a relevant field, and a strong background in project management and program coordination, particularly within an academic environment. The role involves overseeing large, externally funded research programs, working closely with researchers and graduate assistants, and coordinating activities across various government agency projects. The Managing Director will be expected to have extensive knowledge of grant preparation, coordination, and implementation, and the ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships. Experience with project management software tools, advanced word processing, and basic data management skills are also required.Key responsibilities for the Managing Director include providing project management and coordination for the initiatives of the National GENIUS Center, supporting the director in establishing project outcome plans, and leading project meetings. The role also involves post-award duties such as managing IRB submissions, overseeing data management, and supporting the director with dissemination and annual report activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service orientation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multitask. They should be proactive, with a high level of initiative, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Experience in recruiting and training project staff, as well as a commitment to the evaluation and improvement of project management approaches, is also essential.
