About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to join their team. This senior-level fundraising position is pivotal in partnering with the Chief Development & Marketing Officer to create and execute effective strategies that will enhance fundraising efforts from a variety of sources, including individuals, corporations, and foundations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full fundraising lifecycle for a portfolio of high-level donors and prospects, providing moves management, and ensuring a robust pipeline of prospects. A heavy focus on relationship building and stewardship is essential, as is the ability to lead and support campaigns and partnerships with corporate partners. The role also involves supervising a development team, collaborating with various internal teams, and contributing to a workplace culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' relevant fundraising experience, including a management role, and a Bachelor's degree. A proven track record in securing gifts and building strong donor relationships is a must. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess an entrepreneurial mindset, and have experience using a donor CRM. A strong connection to the organization's mission and the ability to effectively communicate its impact to donors is also required. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a senior management team, and a commitment to mentoring and managing a team of fundraisers.
