About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to join its executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the organization's fundraising strategy, with a focus on frontline fundraising, including the cultivation, solicitation, and closing of major gifts. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's mission and vision, and the VP will be expected to lead a team of approximately 16 development staff, providing strategic and operational oversight of all fundraising activities. The VP will also be responsible for managing an extensive donor portfolio, setting and achieving ambitious fundraising goals, and leading a significant capital and endowment campaign. A strong candidate will be an expert in development, with a proven track record in securing major gifts, and will be expected to be a passionate advocate for the transformative power of the arts.The ideal candidate for the Vice President of Development position at the company will be a strategic thinker, a skilled manager of people, and a compassionate leader. They should be comfortable being a public face of the organization, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
