About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Medical Affairs to join their senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operations of medical staff activities and clinical initiatives, with a focus on ensuring the highest quality and safe medical care across the North Central PA Region. This role involves key leadership in patient services, physician alignment, and satisfaction, as well as the development and implementation of evidence-based programs that deliver quality, service, and financial results. The VPMA will also be involved in physician relations, and medical staff communications, and will serve as a strategic partner in growth initiatives. The position requires a candidate who is performance-driven, collaborative, and team-oriented, with the expectation of being approximately 80% administrative and 20% clinical.Applicants for the Vice President, Medical Affairs position at the company must have an MD or DO degree, with a Master's degree in healthcare or business administration being favorable. Licensure in Pennsylvania and specialty board certification is preferred. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a complex healthcare environment, with a proven track record of achievement and administrative responsibility. Strong leadership, management, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders. The role also requires a thorough knowledge of healthcare finance, operational activities, and facilities management, as well as experience in high-level negotiations and a history of positive medical staff and board relations.
