About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Academic Advising to lead and enhance its student support services. The successful candidate will be a passionate leader with a strong background in academic advising, admissions, career counseling, or a related field, and will be responsible for overseeing advising activities across the campus. This role is pivotal in championing student retention and success, and the Executive Director will work closely with deans, and other senior leaders to ensure that every student receives the guidance necessary to stay on track. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree, a minimum of 5 years' of experience in a relevant field, and at least 2 years' in a supervisory role. A terminal degree and a proven track record in increasing student retention or graduation rates are preferred.Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include providing strategic vision, hands-on oversight of advising teams, and collaboration with academic leaders to assess and improve advising practices. The role demands a professional with a deep knowledge of academic advising best practices, student success issues in higher education, and the ability to effectively communicate, lead collaborative teams, and interact with a diverse population. The Executive Director will also be expected to have a strong background in using data analytics to inform academic advising and to promote the use of electronic student success management systems. The position requires a candidate who can work in a fast-paced environment, maintain confidentiality, and professionalism, and who is dedicated to driving positive change and ensuring the highest levels of academic support for students.
