About the Role
The Company is seeking a General Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance and lead its legal department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters, with a focus on labor and employment law, and will be expected to have a strong background in business contracts. Experience in nonprofit law is a plus. The role requires a J.D. and current bar admission in Pennsylvania, with a preference for admission in other states. The General Counsel will also be involved in managing a small team, developing and managing a legal budget, and may be required to manage outside counsel.Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of management and C-suite communication experience, and a proven track record of leadership and the ability to adapt to change. The role demands a candidate with strong writing skills, the ability to produce legal briefs and analyses independently, and the capacity to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization.
