About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Health & Safety to join their extended leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and leading the execution of enterprise-wide health and safety functions. This includes establishing and driving the innovation of health and safety programs, ensuring a culture of safety, compliance, and wellness, and meeting or exceeding industry standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves leading a corporate team and a large, field-based team and requires a leader who can effectively integrate health and safety standards into all business processes and initiatives.Candidates for the Vice President of Health & Safety position at the company should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, with professional certifications such as CSP or CIH preferred. A minimum of 15 years of experience in health and safety and operational roles, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership position, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a manufacturing or industrial environment, advanced knowledge of regulatory frameworks, and best-in-class health and safety practices. Strong leadership, influencing, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to drive continuous improvement and manage a large, dispersed team. The role also demands a strategic thinker with a growth mindset, capable of making sound decisions and fostering a safety-first culture.
