Job Title: National Account Manager

Location: Rocky Mount, NC (Onsite + National Travel)


Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Account Manager to join our team in Rocky Mount, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the strategic growth of our business by managing and expanding key national accounts. Your focus will be on building strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and new customers across various sectors, identifying opportunities for growth, and implementing strategies that align with our business goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and operations leadership, particularly in the instrumentation industry, with expertise in multi-channel sales and business management.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic growth by acquiring new customers, increasing market share, and developing new products, services, and initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation of marketing, new business development, and product/service development strategies.
  • Identify and convert key retail, B2B, and end-user customers that align with the company’s objectives.
  • Develop and manage partnerships with third parties to meet commercial goals.
  • Continuously improve performance across all business delivery areas.
  • Shape product offerings for target markets by assessing portfolio gaps and developing solutions to improve competitiveness and customer value.
  • Create 12-month marketing plans and strategies for trade shows and promotions.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, benchmark products, and develop sales playbooks and marketing strategies.
  • Evaluate operations based on KPIs and revenue targets and develop a cost-effective distribution strategy.
  • Manage budgets for costs and revenue streams.


Knowledge & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Chemistry, Agriculture, Business, or a relevant field; MBA preferred.
  • 5-8+ years of sales and operations leadership, including experience managing multi-channel sales in instrumentation or diagnostics, with revenue responsibility of $3.5M+.
  • Knowledge of agriculture, hydroponics, or instrumentation sales preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and business acumen.
  • Experience managing multi-region teams and omni-channel business delivery.
  • Technical understanding of instrumentation technologies and related markets.
  • Willingness to travel.


Ideal Experience & Skills:

  • 5-8+ years in sales and operations leadership.
  • Proven success in multi-channel sales within the instrumentation industry.
  • Background in agriculture, hydroponics, or niche markets like aquariums and horticulture.
  • Familiarity with distribution channels.
  • Technical knowledge in niche product offerings like pH measurement, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen.
