The Director of Catering and Conference Services will lead a dynamic team, manage client relationships, and ensure that every event reflects the resort’s commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to drive catering and conference services revenue.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to promote the resort as a premier event destination.
- Lead the catering and conference services team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Event Planning and Execution:
- Oversee the planning and execution of weddings, corporate events, conferences, and social gatherings.
- Partner with clients to understand their vision and ensure every detail aligns with their expectations.
- Work closely with culinary, operations, and audiovisual teams to deliver seamless event experiences.
Client and Vendor Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and local community partners.
- Act as the primary contact for high-profile clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor agreements to maximize quality and value.
Team Development and Management:
- Recruit, train, and mentor the catering and conference services team to achieve high performance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Schedule and allocate resources to ensure optimal team efficiency and event success.
Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage budgets for catering and conference services, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all events meet the resort’s quality standards and comply with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in catering and event management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a luxury environment.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale events, including weddings and conferences.
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
