Summary:

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a specialism in Turbines to work with Leading US Turnkey Energy Solutions Company specializing in innovative service and equipment solutions to the energy industry worldwide. Due to the exponential growth, and with an ever-increasing pipeline of orders, they are seeking a Senior Design Engineer who has extensive design experience with Aeroderivative turbine components such as shafts, disks and spools. This role will be integral to the design and development of their market leading turbines but also provide technical leadership to the design team.

As the Senior Design Engineer, you will research and design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems, and directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems,

The Mechanical Design Engineer (Turbines) Responsibilities Will be:

• Design gas turbine rotating parts - shafts, disks and spools.
• Understand Manufacturing processes of rotating parts
• Stress analysis experience using ANSYS
• Lead third party design consultants for detailed design of specific components
• Maintain compliance with engineering codes, standards and regulations
• Interface as technical authority with service teams for gas turbine components

The Mechanical Design Engineer (Turbines) Qualifications Will be:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field alongside
• 5+ years of relevant work experience within the Turbine Design and Manufacturing field is critical.
• Familiarity with ANSYS Workbench tools
• Leadership or Mentorship experience as Senior Design Engineer designing and manufacturing rotating parts
• Excellent Communication Skills, Problem solving skills & ability to work individually as well as with a team
• Ambitious goals to grow within a company
