Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team with a focus on integrating hardware into software. The role primarily involves contributing to the development of high-precision glass stress metrology instruments, specifically by integrating hardware components such as cameras, motors, optics, lasers, and control boards. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in imaging systems , hardware , and electronics , with a desire to expand their software engineering skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and integrate hardware components, including cameras, motors, optics, lasers, and control boards.
- Utilize your knowledge of imaging systems and electronics to develop efficient, reusable, and reliable hardware integration techniques.
- Optimize instrument performance by identifying and resolving hardware integration bottlenecks and bugs.
- Engage in the full product development lifecycle, from design and testing to deployment, with an emphasis on hardware integration.
- Become a subject matter expert on the instrument, understanding its functionality, setup, and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new hardware features and innovations.
- Provide expert guidance and support in troubleshooting complex hardware-software integration issues.
- Stay updated on advancements in hardware and software by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in industry networks.
- Grow your expertise in both hardware integration and software development best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physics , Electrical Engineering , Optical Engineering , or related fields. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering, electronics, or optics.
- Strong experience with imaging systems and hardware development .
- Practical experience working with optical and laser hardware .
- Intermediate proficiency in software engineering , with a willingness to further develop these skills.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git .
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with hardware APIs and integrating hardware systems.
- Experience in motor control and hardware interfaces.
- Familiarity with MVVM architectural patterns .
- Understanding of modern unit testing frameworks and methodologies.
- Prior experience with WPF/MVVM frameworks is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to lead and contribute to multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written .
- Ability to mitigate technical risks and manage projects with aggressive timelines.
Interview Process:

- Onsite interview with multiple panels, including a presentation of prior work (onsite interviews will be conducted on the same day).
