Join our team in Rochester, MN, a vibrant city known for its excellent healthcare facilities and a high quality of life. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during various surgical procedures across multiple specialties.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities
* First assist the surgeon/physician in the performance of surgical procedures.
* Understand human surgical anatomy and develop surgical skills such as suturing and the proper use of surgical instrumentation.
* Ensure proper positioning of surgical patients.
* Possess a working knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and perioperative policies and procedural guidelines.
* Anticipate the needs of the surgeon in a multi-specialty perioperative setting, including general surgery, orthopedic surgery, neurological surgery, and more.

Qualification Preferred
* Certified as a Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) through the National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistants (NCCSA) or as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), preferred.
* Adaptability to unpredictable situations within the perioperative setting.
* Proven ability to communicate with a variety of people in a direct, empathetic, and articulate manner.
* Patient-centered and customer-focused communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal supervision.

Qualification Required
* Graduate of a Surgical Assistant Program with relevant operating room experience within the past 3 years.
* Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or client.

Pay: Up to $55.00 per hour
