As a Transportation Engineer , you will contribute to the planning, design, and execution of important roadway and infrastructure projects. This role provides an opportunity to develop your technical expertise while working on a variety of challenging projects in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze and prepare roadway and Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) designs, calculations, and drawings for expressways, limited-access facilities, and arterial/local roads following Department of Transportation (DOT) or local jurisdiction criteria.
- Develop 3D models of roadways using Corridor Modeling in GEOPAK and/or Open Roads.
- Collaborate with the team to propose innovative solutions to design challenges.
- Prepare engineering reports and contract documents.
- Supervise, assign, track, and review tasks of technicians or designers, applying technical discretion during the first revision.
- Potentially serve as the Engineer-of-Record on designated tasks.
- Manage the timely completion of multiple projects or assigned tasks.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external clients, subconsultants, and government agencies.
- Present design solutions in internal project meetings and assist with external presentations as required.
- Contribute to company marketing by updating your personal resume and participating in marketing campaigns.
- Maintain timely submissions of time sheets and expense reports.
- Take ownership of your career development by pursuing feedback, seeking new skills, and setting personal development goals.
- Mentor team members by sharing knowledge and demonstrating positive behaviors.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or expected within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in roadway design and engineering.
