Connect Search is hiring a Quality Engineer in Elkhart Lake

Responsibilities

• Run daily CMM inspections. Make adjustments as necessary.
• Program parts on CMM in PC-DMIS.
• Create setup fixturing for parts run on the CMM.
• Perform first piece inspections from the CNC Dept.
• Perform tensile testing.
• Perform spectrometer testing.
• Do PMs on Spectrometer.
• Do Romer scans & overlays.
• Perform x-ray inspections.
• Layout parts for PPAP.
• Prepare PPAP documents.
• Participate in GR&R studies.
• Do capability studies.
• Assist in maintaining calibration system.
• Become a backup for sand lab testing.
• Coordinate work for the Quality Technicians.
• Attend APQP, Corrective Action, MRB, and other meetings
• Train other QA technicians as directed by the QA manager.
• Conduct internal audits of the Bremer manufacturing process documentation for ISO 9000 compliance.
• Conduct internal audits of the Bremer manufacturing process documentation for IATF 16949 compliance.
• Interact with supervision and plant senior management on resolving plant quality issues and process improvements providing records and analysis.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Technical school training in quality and/or related courses.
• Experience in Quality required, including experience with ISO 9000 and IATF 16949.
• Experience in programming CMM (PC-DMIS) preferred.
• Experience in Romer Arm inspecting preferred.
