Carterwill Search is actively recruiting for an Associate Attorney - Personal Injury for a very prestigious law firm that very well known and highly regarded. This Associate Attorney - Personal Injury will handle a dynamic caseload involving various aspects of personal injury litigation. This role demands proactive management of cases from inception through trial or settlement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents including complaints, motions, and briefs.
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Manage discovery processes, including taking and defending depositions, managing document productions, and interacting with expert witnesses.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide legal advice tailored to their specific circumstances.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex legal matters.
- Stay updated on developments in personal injury law and integrate relevant changes into practice.
- Travel for trials.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Honors.
- Florida Bar Admission.
- 3-5 years of experience in personal injury law, demonstrating a track record of managing a caseload independently.
- Strong litigation skills, with experience in trial advocacy being highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with high-stakes personal injury cases such as medical malpractice, wrongful death, or complex tort litigation.
- Familiarity with the latest legal technologies and software for case management.
