Hino is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, manufactures automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.
We are currently seeking a Purchasing Planning Administration Specialist, located in the Corporate office in Novi, MI reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager, Purchasing Planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Purchasing Data Files / Documents.
- Lead and track Purchasing data requests to suppliers.
- Lead and track various supplier surveys and report out results.
- Cost data management: input pricing data into system and resolve discrepancies working with buyers.
- Lead internal procedure development and compliance for Purchasing Department.
- Support Purchasing audit activities and document requests.
- Manage and coordinate various projects and Purchasing Planning activities.
- Follow up and track Purchasing tasks related to new program launches and projects to ensure timely completion. Report out progress to management.
- Work closely with related departments and manufacturing plants to ensure operational needs are achieved.
- Promote teamwork and cooperation with interacting other departments.
Education & Experience Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or Finance preferred.)
- 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain / Purchasing field. Data administration, Automotive experience preferred

- Strong MS Excel & MS PowerPoint skill sets
- Strong organizational and data management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Program management experience preferred
