Overview

  • We are currently looking for a qualified Director of Mining to join our team. This senior subject matter expert is responsible for driving the success of our mining equipment sales, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and alignment with market demands.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining operations, equipment solutions, and business leadership, with a passion for delivering innovative and sustainable equipment that meets the rigorous demands of the mining sector.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction for our mining equipment portfolio, ensuring alignment with customer needs, industry trends, and company objectives.
  • Become an expert on the company’s flagship mining solutions
  • Collaborate with the mining technical directors to oversee enhancements to existing equipment, ensuring innovation and competitive market positioning.
  • Lead and mentor those working on mining opportunities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
  • Using consultative selling skills develop value propositions for complex opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships by understanding their needs, offering tailored solutions, and providing exceptional service.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Utilizing knowledge of the company’s core products and understanding of the customer's business to develop customized, highly engineered proposals.
  • Prepare and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and reports to track performance and guide decision-making.
  • Travel frequently, representing the company at industry events and serving as an expert spokesperson.
  • Utilizing Salesforce, manage sales activities, pipeline health, and customer success.
  • Fully support the Company’s ISO objectives, policies, and procedures.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. An MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in the mining industry or related OEM capital equipment field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to close complex sales deals.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time (National)


Pay/Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $125,000 to $150,000. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
