Must-haves

- 5-8+ years of experience as a Construction estimator working on large scale projects (looking for someone with working experience on $2 million-$50 million projects. The higher to $50 million, the better)

- BS or MS in Engineering or Construction Management with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in estimating field.

- Experience with specialized estimating software (ex: ProEst, Buildertrend, Procore, Clear Estimates)

Plusses

- Construction Estimation Experience Internationally (will be dealing with clients from all over the world in this role)

- Experience working on $50+ million projects

Day-to-Day

Insight Global is looking for 5 Construction Estimators for a client in NYC for $125k-$225k. This person will be joining an estimating team responsible for figuring out how much a large scale construction project (typically $50 million projects) will cost by looking at the plans, visiting the site, and calculating the costs for materials, labor, and equipment. Their goal is to make sure the project stays within budget and helps the company win bids for new projects. 60% of their day will be spent reviewing and interpreting architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using various specialized estimating software to develop detailed cost estimates, 20% analyzing costs by evaluating labor, material, and time requirements, and 20% preparing and submitting financial documents such as budgets, bids, etc.
