What You'll Do:

1. Handle Litigation Cases:
   
   • Manage insurance defense and other litigation matters.
   • Specialize in defending municipalities and school districts in civil litigation.
   • Focus on areas such as tort law , employment law , law enforcement defense , and land use matters .
2. Legal Writing and Advocacy:
   
   • Draft legal documents, motions, and briefs with strong attention to detail.
   • Present compelling arguments in court and other legal settings.
3. Trial Work:
   
   • Represent clients in trials (trial experience is a plus).
   • Prepare and execute trial strategies.
4. Client Interaction:
   
   • Work closely with municipalities, school districts, and other clients.
   • Provide legal advice and updates on case progress.
5. Collaboration:
   
   • Work with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on case preparation and strategy.

Experience You'll Need:

1. Legal Experience:
   
   • 5+ years of experience in insurance defense and/or general litigation .
   • Experience in civil litigation , particularly in defending municipalities or school districts, is highly desirable.
2. Specialized Knowledge:
   
   • Expertise in tort law , employment law , law enforcement defense , and/or land use matters .
3. Skills:
   
   • Strong legal writing and advocacy skills .
   • Proven trial experience (preferred but not mandatory).
   • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
4. Professional Level:
   
   • Candidates at the partner level are encouraged to apply, indicating leadership experience and a track record of client development may be advantageous.
     Salary: $120,000 - $160,000/year
