What You'll Do: - Handle Litigation Cases:
- Manage insurance defense and other litigation matters.
- Specialize in defending municipalities and school districts in civil litigation.
- Focus on areas such as tort law , employment law , law enforcement defense , and land use matters .
- Legal Writing and Advocacy:
- Draft legal documents, motions, and briefs with strong attention to detail.
- Present compelling arguments in court and other legal settings.
- Trial Work:
- Represent clients in trials (trial experience is a plus).
- Prepare and execute trial strategies.
- Client Interaction:
- Work closely with municipalities, school districts, and other clients.
- Provide legal advice and updates on case progress.
- Collaboration:
- Work with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on case preparation and strategy.
Experience You'll Need: - Legal Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in insurance defense and/or general litigation .
- Experience in civil litigation , particularly in defending municipalities or school districts, is highly desirable.
- Specialized Knowledge:
- Expertise in tort law , employment law , law enforcement defense , and/or land use matters .
- Skills:
- Strong legal writing and advocacy skills .
- Proven trial experience (preferred but not mandatory).
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Professional Level:
- Candidates at the partner level are encouraged to apply, indicating leadership experience and a track record of client development may be advantageous.
Salary: $120,000 - $160,000/year
