Title: Administrative Support
Location: Roxbury
Contract: Open-ended
Pay: Up to $25/hr
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide college and career readiness coaching services to students enrolled in job training programs. Assist students in identifying goals and mapping out a plan to achieve them.
- Support participants in all aspects of their job search, including assistance with employment applications, interview preparation and follow up, onboarding, understanding dress codes, and securing reliable transportation.
- Collaborate with job training instructors to develop and deliver instruction on job readiness related topics such as interview preparation, resolving conflicts at work, and professional communication.
- Conduct outreach to employers in key industries such as hospitality, technology, and healthcare. Promote engagement by inviting employers to act as guest speakers, provide site tours, and conduct mock interviews.
- Collaborate with employer partners to support student job placements and retention.
- Strengthen partnerships with other workforce development agencies
- Manage input of all data and documentation pertaining to job training activities, coaching/advising, and job/education placement data.
- Assist with the completion of quarterly reports for public and private funders.
- Other duties as needed.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services related field preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to encourage job seekers.
- Good problem-solving skills and excellent follow-through.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to connect with and relate to both community members and employers.
- Experience in healthcare, hospitality, and/or technology a plus.
