In this versatile role, you’ll deliver exceptional care across multiple settings, including Medical, Surgical, Inpatient Rehab (IPR), PCU, Emergency Department, Pathways, Brendan House (TCU and LTC), Women’s and Children’s Units, and the SANE Team . This is an exciting opportunity to expand your skill set, gain diverse clinical experience, and make a meaningful impact on patient care.nnWhy Join Our Med/Surg *Plus Float Pool?nnEnhanced Pay: Earn an extra $6.00 per hour on top of your base wage.nnShift Differentials:nnNight Shift: $3.75 per hournnWeekends: $2.25 per hournnVersatile Experience: Cross-train in multiple units and grow your skills with every shift.nnProfessional Growth: Access ongoing education and pursue certifications in medical, surgical, and emergency care.nnCollaborative Team Environment: Work with supportive colleagues across diverse departments to ensure excellent patient outcomes.nnWhat You’ll Do:nnProvide high-quality nursing care across multiple units, adapting to varying patient needs.nnMaintain competencies in at least two or more units beyond the Med/Surg departments.nnUphold the highest standards of safety, privacy, and patient-centered care.nnCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.nnIf you're ready to take on the challenge of floating across multiple units, building diverse experience, and working with an exceptional team, apply today and become an integral part of the Logan Health Med/Surg Plus Float Pool!nnQualifications:nnCurrent Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.nnMust be adaptable to various inpatient settings, which are determined based on skills, experience, and/or certifications.nnExperience, competency, and certifications as required by units qualified to float.nnMedical/Surgical *Plus Float Pool (Medical, Surgical, IPR, PCU, Emergency Department, Pathways, Brendan House TCU and/or LTC, specific Women’s and Children’s units, or SANE Team RN requirements:nnMinimum of two (2) years nursing experience.nnMust cross train and maintain competence in two (2) or more units in addition to maintaining competence to work in all the Medical/Surgical units.nnApplicable certifications:nnBLS required.nnACLS for PCU and ED required.nnTNCC, ENPC, and PALS for ED must be successfully obtained within twelve (12) months of hire.nnBSN degree preferred. National Certification in Medical, Surgical, or emergency care preferred.nnExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.nnCommitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.nnExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.nnExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.nnPossess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.nnJob Specific Duties:nnExhibits a commitment to professionalism, civility, teamwork, and customer service while undertaking all tasks and interactions with others.nnExhibits knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to the RN’s specific job duties, patient care population being served, and safety.nnOperates and maintains equipment to departmental standards and exhibits an understanding of the processes for removing a malfunctioning piece of equipment from service.nnMaintains age-appropriate nursing standards of care and executes appropriate physician orders.nnWhile executing patient care, exhibits knowledge of and maintains the patient’s right to diversity, privacy, and confidentiality.nnPerforms a comprehensive assessment of patient on admission and at regular intervals appropriate for the condition of the patient and/or as ordered by the physician/provider.nnPerforms administration of medications, treatments, physician/provider specified care, and intravenous therapy to patients, in compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.nnPerforms reassessment of patient(s) to monitor status, identify changes in vital signs, lab work or status, implement interventions as ordered or defined, and to evaluate patient responses to treatment or therapy in compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.nnCommunicates all appropriate and critical changes in the patient’s condition, status and findings to the appropriate physician/provider in a timely manner or as defined by policies and procedures and/or physician/provider orders. Communication between members of the healthcare team is conducted using SBAR format.nnDocuments all clinical findings and required regulatory mandates in the chart in compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures or as defined by regulatory requirements.nnCompletes and demonstrates competency/currency in required yearly unit competencies and educational requirements. Competencies may be required in assigned facilities annually. Complies with and maintains regulatory compliance requirements as defined for the nursing care on the unit/facility and according to organizational standards.nnThe above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification.
