ASSYST is seeking a
Senior Business Analyst to support our governmentclient's project in
Laurel, MD. The consultant will act as an expert liaison between IT and one or more assigned lines of business (LOB). In this capacity, they will serve as a trusted advisor, working closely with business stakeholders to effectively. Provide consulting services in requirements development, business process modeling, prototyping, and use case analysis to support the successful implementation of business initiatives.
Work Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Location: Laurel, MD Duties / Responsibilities: - Leads business process analysis, use case analysis, and business/functional requirements definition.
- Performs requirements management duties, including requirements categorization and traceability.
- Models current state (As-Is) and future state (To-Be) business processes.
- Supports business process improvement and reengineering efforts.
- Creates business analysis documentation, including use cases, usage scenarios, data dictionaries, and requirements traceability matrices.
- Facilitates lesson-learned sessions and collaboration within and across business units and IT functional areas.
- Collaborates with the Technical Writing team to create technical documentation
Required Experience: - Six (6) years of senior-level experience.
- 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Requirements management tool experience.
- Business process analysis experience.
- Prototyping experience.
- Blueprint experience (Preferred)
- Strong proficiency in use case analysis, requirements engineering, and business process modeling/improvement.
- Exceptional requirements elicitation and facilitation skills, and expertise in translating business needs into detailed requirements specifications.
- Strong ability to collaborate and clearly communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful implementation of IT initiatives.
Education: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field
- CBAP certification (Preferred)
